CAPTAIN AND MONTY'S TRIBUTE TO SYD BARRETT...................
Go
grab yourself a copy of the latest Mojo mag. Captain and Monty's
whimsical version of Syd Barrett's "Octopus" is being given away
fee on the front cover.
Don't forget you can check out Cap and Monty with cohorts Toad, Captain Barrington Whyte and Dave Berk live with Dr Spacetoad Experience at The Brunswick, Brighton, this Saturday 6th February.
Expect a Bohemian
evening of psychedelic, punk, progged up misunderstood genius. You may even
see Simon Cowell in attendance. He's a big fan, apparently.
NEW SHIRTS AVAILABLE ONLINE..........................
Thanks to everyone who placed orders for the old tour shirts for Xmas. It cleared quite a hole in the old Damned lockup.
Following
on from the success of that little postal blitz, we offer you a really
cool shirt based on the backdrop from the MotorDamned tour.
Head on over to Dottie Grim again to check out the goods.
You wanted a black shirt, so here it is, complete with full back print.
Available in Girly size as well as Mens medium to XL.
The girly large is around the same size as a mens small, so will be great for those pouting teenagers also.
These are strictly limited quantities and will all be gone after our
dates in California in Feb, but you lot get the chance to get your
hands on one first through the OD site.
Thanks everyone
Pinch

if
this Twit thing works I'll run it thru the Motorhead tour
as an tryout. If it's good enuf for Steven Fry and all that. It might
be interesting for those who are coming to a show - to see what goes on
behind the scenes, etc.
Personally, I'd have loved to find out what Brian Auger, Stray and The
Groundhogs got up to on the way to a show a food fight at Watford Gap
perhaps, van breakdown...... or getting pulled over by the Cops for a
traffic infringement.
It's not all comfy sofas and champers backstage I can tell you.... all
sorts of stuff drives bands round the bend on occasion during touring
so I thought I might share some of it with y'all.
You want to know about Stu's unstoppable curry fetish, Pinch's latest
gadget or just who Mr Vanian is listening to on his Ipod at the minute
I'm sure.
I might even broach on the thorny subject of Monty's strange and
occasionally quite antisocial habits if you're lucky!
Anyway, it'll be summat new for me to experiment with so if you're that
way inclined come and Twitter away with THIS old Twit,
CAPTAIN'S
ALL EXCITED ABOUT SOMETHING. WE'LL
LET HIM TAKE OVER SHALL WE...
Ladies
and
Gentlemen..... until now my wonderful 80s A+M albums have been unavailable
on CD but those lovely people at Cherry Red Records haveplucked
them out of obscurity and restored them to their former glory.
Needless
to
say, I'm thrilled so I've helped out with the sleeve notes and rummaged
through my drawers for some fun photos from way back and I have
to say that I am EXTREMELY happy with the results.
I've also
added quite a few interesting bonus tracks - some of which are atrifle
off the wall it has to be said (Damned on 45 anybody?) so, if you
fancy hearing some of my 80s recordings with genius producer Tony Mansfield CLICK THE ALBUM COVER FOR DETAILS.
LIVE SHOWS VIA INTERNET - WIFI ACCESS You'll
be happy to know that we've managed to resurrect the live gig streams.
Last night's show at Boston was streamed and made for fun viewing.
Whenever
we have wifi access at the gigs we will endeavour to stream the show
live on ustream.tv. This will be sporadic and the quality can't be
guaranteed but we feel it will be of interest to fans who can't make it
to the show. We hope you enjoy!"
